Student visas

The embassy is not a customer-service desk.

Western Shores prepares student-visa files for the United States, Canada, and Europe. We rehearse interviews. We do not stamp passports. Anyone in Accra who sells a guaranteed visa is selling theatre.

United States, from Accra

F-1 cases need a SEVP-certified school, Form I-20, SEVIS fee, DS-160, and an interview at the U.S. Embassy in Accra. The officer is testing ties, funds, and whether the programme makes sense. Read the F-1 interview guide before you book a slot you are not ready to use.

Canada

A Canadian study permit is a paper case more than a theatre case. Provincial attestation, proof of funds, letter of explanation, and a programme that matches your history. Rules have moved quickly. We work from current IRCC instructions, not from a 2019 SDS memory. See study in Canada, then the Accra proof-of-funds guide.

Europe

The UK uses CAS and a student visa. Ghanaian applicants staying more than six months generally need a TB test at a Home Office-approved clinic, not a private hospital of convenience. Germany often wants a blocked account and a clear university track. The Netherlands and France have their own portals and proof-of-means tests. Europe is a set of procedures, not a mood. Start at the Europe brief, then the country page.

What we refuse

We will not coach a lie about marital status, employment, or intent to return. We will not manufacture bank paper. If the honest file is weak, the consult should end there.

Do you attend the interview?

No. You do. We prepare the answers so they match the documents in the folder.

When is the $2,500 visa fee due?

After visa approval. Processing of $1,000 covers the academic work that has to exist before a visa file is honest.

Do not book an embassy date to ‘feel busy’.

Book a consult first. An early slot with a thin file is how refusals are made.
